Elvish Yadav’s arrest in the snake venom case has taken an interesting turn as the Noida police have removed the NDPS Act charges against him citing a clerical mistake
YouTuber Elvish Yadav took the nation by storm after he became the first card entrant to ever win the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss OTT season 2. His fan base started to grow after his participation as the audience adored him for his blunt statements and charming personality on-screen. While he was busy enjoying his win, he got into some physical altercations, which left the netizens feeling skeptical about him. A few days ago, he was arrested by the Noida police for his involvement in supplying snake venom at his rave parties.
Arrested on March 17, he was sent to 14 days of judicial remand under the Wild Life Protection Act 1972 and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. However, a recent report by the Times Now News states that Section 22 of the NDPS act, which was imposed on him, has been waived off by the Noida police. The report states that the NDPS Act for the 26-year-old YouTuber’s FIR has been removed citing a clerical mistake. Netizens have taken the internet by storm as soon as the news made the headlines. Talking about Elvish Yadav, weeks after he dismissed allegations about his involvement in providing snake venom at his rave party, he reportedly admitted that he had indeed done that. According to a report by NDTV, the YouTuber faced charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act along with a case under the Wildlife Act. Section 29 of the stringent law deals with drug-related conspiracies like buying and selling. It is to be noted, that bail isn’t easily granted under this law. Elvish has also been accused of using snakes in his video shoots. As per the officials, he had earlier confessed that Bollywood singer Fazilapuria arranged those snakes for him. His admittance came after he was placed in 14-day judicial custody. Ever since his arrest, his parents have been giving interviews on national television and opening up about their dire financial conditions. They even went as far as to declare that the cars and apartments Elvish showed off on social media were borrowed from his friends.
